Environmental migration, also known as climate migration, refers to the movement of people from their homes due to environmental factors such as natural disasters, drought, rising sea levels, and other climate-related changes. As the impacts of climate change intensify, the number of environmental migrants is expected to increase significantly in the coming years. This type of migration presents unique challenges, including displacement, loss of livelihoods, and potential conflicts over resources. Addressing the root causes of environmental migration and implementing sustainable solutions are essential to mitigating the effects of climate change and supporting those who are forced to leave their homes due to environmental factors.
